Improving efficiency in the public and private sectors since 2011, Alejandro (Alex) Rojas serves as the general manager of the Central Basin Municipal Water District in Commerce, California. In that position, Alejandro (Alex) Rojas has increased the district’s fiscal soundness by restoring its credit rating and building a $20+ million cash reserve, as well as lowering residential water rates.
He is also a principal consultant for Greenvale Consulting Services, leading the firm’s digital transformation and advising construction executives. Previously, he was the chief operations officer of Siembra Mobile, an educational software provider, where he boosted profitability.
After obtaining $135 million in infrastructure upgrade bonds as an educator and administrator for schools in Tustin, California, Mr. Rojas joined the Bassett Unified School District. He enhanced academic improvement plans, oversaw technological modernization, and reversed declining enrollment.
Mr. Rojas earned a master’s degree in water engineering and management from the University of Colorado at Boulder after completing undergraduate studies at California State University in Fullerton. He later earned a doctorate in organizational leadership at the University of Southern California. His recreational preferences include equestrian sports and golfing.
